Yageo announces 60% profit decline in 2011

Yageo, a supplier of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and chip resistors, has announced net profits for 2011 declined 59.8% with revenues down 8.6% from a year ago. The passive component maker is taking a conservative outlook for 2012.

PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- For the second year in a row, Verizon and NEC Corporation of America have completed an industry first by transmitting high bit-rate technologies over field fiber. The latest trial successfully transmitted 21.7 terabits per second (1 terabit equals 1,000 gigabits) - the highest capacity to date -- under field conditions.
