EXFO intros one-way delay measurements for Ethernet backhaul testing

EXFO Inc. (Nasdaq:EXFO) (TSX:EXF) says it has added one-way delay measurement to its portable Ethernet backhaul test offering. The new capabilities complement EXFO's patent-pending bidirectional testing functionalities for IP/Ethernet service validation. EXFO says it now offers the only portable Ethernet backhaul test units to perform true one-way delay measurement, using any of the available reference clocks.

Kingfisher offers new fiber handheld power meter

Australia-based test instrument company Kingfisher International has unveiled the KI2600 range of optical power meters for fiber-optic test and installation applications. The field-portable KI2600 can be used to verify optical power and loss in installed communications links using “most fiber types,” Kingfisher says.

EXFO claims ‘major’ North American customer for its Brix offering

(NASDAQ:EXFO) (TSX:EXF) says that what it termed “a top-tier North American network operator” has selected its Brix end-to-end voice, data, and video monitoring offering to support multiplay services. The company has targeted its new XOTN product at the test requirements for packet-switched core transport networks, including MPLS and MPLS-TP protocol implementations.
