S.I. Tech, Inc. Introduces New Ruggedized Family of Bit-Drivers

S.I. Tech introduces a new family of ruggedized Bit-Drivers for various applications: All products are designed to accept a wide range of input electrical power from 85 to 265 VAC or VDC with additional options for 24 or -48VDC power. This all-inclusive power makes it possible to use the Bit-Drivera almost anywhere in an industrial plant or with electrical substations outdoors.

To accommodate outdoor installations and applications, each Bit-Drivers; comes with a temperature rating of -40o to +80o C, a rugged metal housing, metal connectors, and movable mounting brackets. Power entry can be on top or side of the rugged enclosure. Additionally, the Bit-Drivers are equipped with very bright status indicator leds to show power and optical TR & REC functions.

Model 2560, RS-232 is for Asynchronous data application with 2 full duplex control lines. Control signals can be used for flow control or as additional data channels. Effectively providing a 3 channel RS-232 multiplexer.

All models work up to 115 kbps with duplex fiber optic cables 50 or 62.5-micron multimode or optionally single mode fiber cable for applications requiring distances up to 20km (over 12 miles). Fully compatible 19" rack mounted Euro cards are available for control room type applications (Model #2360/61/62).Units comply with IEEE C37.90.1 and IEC 801 surge protection standards.
