RSL acquires approval for mine lighting system
RSL Fiber Systems of East Hartford has received approval by the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) for its new Mine Equipment Visibility Outlining System.
The approval allows RSL and its West Virginia-based sales and distribution partner, CAI Industries/Gauley-Robertson, to market the lighting technology to coal mine equipment manufacturers and operators.
The non-electrical Mine Equipment Visibility Outlining System uses fiber optic lighting technology to increase safety and productivity. The MSHA approval concludes two years of research, development and testing.
RSL Fiber Systems specializes in fiber optic lighting systems and engineering services for military and commercial markets.
