R&M provides cabling solutions to Euro 2012 stadium

R&M, the Swiss cabling specialist offers cabling solutions to Narodowy National Stadium in Warsaw for Euro 2012. This solution helps to broadcast the game without any interruption and in real time.

The national stadium is the largest building in Poland. For international competitions, the support from telecommunication and IT infrastructure is one of the priorities. The backbone of the national stadium is based on 72-fiber single mode optic cables, category OS2. The redundant cabling is led through separate routes to minimize the risk of failure. The FO rings link four data centers in which the entire IT infrastructure is also provided as a redundant replica, said a statement.

R&M has deployed Cat 6 Real10 cable for the distance below 100 meters. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Applications located further away such as cameras, screens, some access points and control systems are connected via FO duplex connections with SCRJ/APC connectors, added the statement.
