This size, weight, and power (SWaP)-optimized Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution is compatible with C4ISR technology refresh and situational awareness upgrade programs.
The unit is void of moving parts. It features near cable-less internal design, EMI filtering, all industrial temperature grade components, and a sealed dust or waterproof aluminum chassis including isolated MIL-STD-1275/704 power supply that prevents vehicle/aircraft voltage surges, transients and spikes.
Gigabit Ethernet interfaces supports optional Tactical Fiber Optic Cable Assembly (TFOCA II) connectors on the rear featuring rugged MIL-DTL-38999 connectors on the front panel. The U.S. ARMY WIN-T program selects these optical interfaces as the standard next generation fiber optic connector for effective military tactical deployable networks.
Managed and unmanaged switch configurations is ideal for configurable or ‘plug and play’ Gigabit Ethernet LAN applications. Qualification tests were conducted for the base DuraNET 1268 for intense MIL-STD-461F EMI/EMC and MIL-STD-810G thermal, vibe, shock, humidity, ingress conditions, and altitude. The RTCA/DO-160G airworthiness tests ensures low temperature and high altitude operation.
The DuraNET 1268 includes an onboard microprocessor that supports local or remote control and port monitoring. In addition, Virtual Local-Area Network (VLAN) trunking, Rapid Spanning Tree (RSP) redundancy, Quality of Service (QoS) traffic prioritization, and Telnet remote CLI management have also been supported. The unit incorporates recoverable data zeroization potentials for declassifying switch data, in addition to RS-232 Command Line Interface (CLI) and Ethernet management ports for better security and system management. Status LEDs alerts about port link/speed/activity, zeroization signal, and power.
The fiber optic support-inclusive DuraNET 1268 subsystems will start sampling within 60 days.
