Digital Lightwave adds 100G OTN, 100G Ethernet support to NIC platform

Digital Lightwave Inc., a provider of optical networking test equipment and technology, has added 40Gbps and 100Gbps test functionality for SONET/SDH, OTN, and Ethernet networks to its NIC product line.

"The CSA 4100 module delivers test capabilities for the latest 40G and 100G networks to the NIC Platform," says Tony Goodchild, director of product management and marketing. "The new module supports multilane 40G SONET/SDH, OTN and Ethernet, and 100G OTN and Ethernet, including our full multiplexing and test capabilities. Our customer-focused design and emphasis on usability allow us to deliver a device that makes testing 100G networks as easy as testing a legacy 10G network."

The CSA 4100 module provides physical layer testing, including unframed multi-lane BERT, PCS BERT, skew generation and measurement, and full protocol testing, such as overhead manipulation and capture, service disruption measurements, RTD, multi-stream Ethernet generation and test, and RFC 2544 benchmarking.
