Beggs Telephone selects ADTRAN Total Access 5000 for next-generation services migration

Beggs Telephone Company Inc., an independent, family owned service provider, has selected the Total Access 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform (MSAP), from ADTRAN Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN), to migrate from legacy switches and deliver IP-based voice and data services to business and residential customers in the Oklahoma region.

Beggs Telephone selected ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 for its ability to help launch future-oriented applications and services, while enabling legacy migration. The Total Access 5000 accommodates customers using existing services like POTS and DSL, and can provide other revenue-generating service for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), carrier Ethernet, and other business-class services.

The Total Access 5000 is an Ethernet-based MSAP flexible enough for voice, data, and video. It provides support for service migration, broadband, and carrier Ethernet services on a common platform, helping to keep capital expenditures to a minimum, lowering operational expenses, and enhancing the performance of the access network.
