Transmode products receive Chinese approval

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MII) has granted a Network Access License to Swedish optical transport systems developer Transmode for its TM-Series optical networking equipment. The license clears the way for Transmode products to be used in China's public network.

Acquisition of the license is a major milestone for companies wishing to sell products into the Chinese market. The MII granted the license to Transmode after its systems met a series of requirements and passed product testing. The test process includes testing the live operation of the systems, evaluation by MII engineers, as well as the submission of complete documentation.
