Ethernet Exchange across southeastern footprint
USCarrier Telecom LLC, a provider of high-speed, long-haul, fiber-optic transport, will provide Ethernet Exchange services for an Ethernet-based virtual interconnection across USCarrier’s Points of Presence in its four-state network.
USCarrier has selected packet-optical solutions from Cyan to provide Connection Oriented Ethernet across its optical transport network.USCarrier will use the Cyan Z-Series packet-optical transport platform (P-OTP) to extend the reach of its Ethernet Exchange capabilities across its footprint, enabling USCarrier and its partners to sell services across the entire footprint while reducing service provisioning time.“Driving this emerging Ethernet Exchange market is the rising demand throughout the country for Ethernet services, and the subsequent need for service providers to fill gaps in their existing network footprints,” says Greg Frikor, director of sales for USCarrier Telecom. “The simplification of delivering Ethernet services to customers quickly and seamlessly allows the USCarrier team to leverage the capabilities of Cyan’s Connection Oriented Ethernet service and capitalize on this rapidly growing sector of the market.”
