MTS Ukrine Finshies Upgrade Of DWDM Network

Private joint-stock company MTS Ukraine, a mobile operator, has finished upgrading the control system of its DWDM network, reads a press release of the operator issued on Thursday.

"After the optimization of a part of the network, it will allow the provision of 40 gigabits per second on one wave and 1,600 gigabits per second on the whole channel," reads the report.The network was upgraded with the help of the supplier of the DWDM platforms of the MTS Ukraine's network - China's Huawei Company.The network is one of the elements of the basic MTS network - the upper level the main traffic network. Its construction was started in February 2006. The network was formed on the basis of the existing fiber-optic network of the company of around 28,000 kilometers.
